This book discusses various aspects of the multi-cloud paradigm. The initial portion of the book focuses on the motivations for the industry to embrace a multi-cloud option and the distinct business, technology, and user cases of multi-cloud implementations. The middle part of the book explains the challenges of setting up and sustaining multi-cloud environments. The latter portion focuses on the next-generation technologies and tools along with multi-cloud platforms, processes, patterns, and practices. The final segment of the book is dedicated for cloud brokerage systems. The various traits and tenets of cloud brokerage services especially for accomplishing cloud intermediation, integration, orchestration, governance, security, management, configuration, etc. are explained in detail. The book also clearly articulates how to have intelligent brokers.




Dr. N. Rajganesh is presently working as Assistant Professor [Selection Grade] in the Department of Information Technology, A.V.C College of Engineering, Tamilnadu, India. He obtained Ph. D degree from Anna University during the year 2018 for his thesis entitled 'Fuzzy based Intelligent Semantic Cloud Service Discovery for Effective Utilization of Services'. Having 15 years of experience in Teaching and contributes research findings in various reputed international Journals. During his career, he has attended more than 15 Faculty Development Program/Workshop/Seminar, which are sponsored by AICTE, UGC, ISTE, and Anna University. He has functioned as resource person in more than 10 Faculty Development Programme and organized seminars and workshops. He is functioning as an active reviewer for top-notch journals from IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and other publishers.
 
Pethuru Raj has been working as a cloud infrastructure architect in the IBM Global Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), IBM India Bangalore. Previously, he worked as TOGAF-certified enterprise architecture (EA) consultant in Wipro Consulting Services (WCS) Division, Wipro Technologies Bangalore. He also had a fruitful stint as a lead architect in the corporate research (CR) division of Robert Bosch, India. In total, he has 13 years of IT industry experience. He did CSIR-sponsored PhD degree in Anna University, Chennai and continued the UGC-sponsored postdoctoral research in the Department of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Thereafter, he was granted a couple of international research fellowships (JSPS and JST) to work as a research scientist for three years in two leading Japanese universities. His technical competencies lie in service-oriented architecture (SOA), cloud computing, enterprise architecture (EA), context-aware computing and machine-to-machine (M2M) integration, Big Data Analytics, and business integration methods. He has been contributing chapters for a number of high-quality technology books that are being edited by internationally acclaimed professors and professionals. Currently, he is writing a book on the topic 'The Internet of Things (IoT) Technologies for the Envisioned Smarter Planet'.
 
Dr. T. Ramkumar is presently working as Associate Professor & Head of the Department in School of Information Technology & Engineering, VIT, Vellore, India. He obtained Ph.D degree from Anna University during the year 2010 for his thesis entitled 'Synthesizing Global Association Rules in Multi-Database Mining'. Having 19 years of experience in Higher education & research, regularly he contributes research findings in various reputed international Journals. Some of his research works have been published in journals from Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, World-Scientific and other publishers.  He has functioned as resource person in more than 20 Faculty Development Programme and organized seminars and workshops which are funded by ISTE, AICTE and others. He has successfully guided three research scholars lead to Ph. D degree.
