Solid Particle Erosion - Occurrence, Prediction and Control

Materials engineers, researchers and students will find this book a valuable resource on erosion wear mechanisms. It contains extensive data on erosive wear resistance of conventional steels, powder materials and coatings, and criteria for erosive wear-resistant material and coating selection. The book collects together the work of more than 130 industrially-supported research projects conducted over 50 years.

Dr Ilmar Kleis is a professor emeritus at the Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. His research interests are in impact and erosion phenomena.

Dr Priit Kulu is a professor at the Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia, where he is the Head of the Department of Material Engineering and the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests are in surface engineering and wear resistant powder coatings.
