This is the first monograph devoted to the widely disseminated 16^th century 'Sermons on the Turk.' The work fills a gap in scholarship on the Turkish question in the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. The volume includes 299 sermons by 38 authors, with a focus on their liturgical setting, the authors' level of knowledge, and specific denominational patterns in interpreting the Turks and Islam.
