Kinder und Dinge - Dingwelten zwischen Kinderzimmer und FabLabs

We are born into a world of objects that attract and seduce us, awaken our desire, or repulse us. Objects are closely intertwined with our thoughts, feelings, senses, and identity. This book places the relationship between children and objects at the center. The themed set of objects from a childlike experience realm ranges from the stuffed animal to the 3D printer. Digital media must be included in the analysis, since children have long since integrated it into their everyday lives. The contributions apply themselves to the question of what our dealings with objects mean for the development of identity, and to what extent these stimulate the childhood world of emotions, imprint on aesthetic preferences, and evoke memories and dreams of the future.
