Finanzierung des Kulturstaats in Preußen seit 1800
Prussia’s remarkable rise as a cultural state in the 19th and early 20th century was financed by funds from the state budget, from individual communes, and cooperatives, by its citizens through taxes, fees, and individual contributions, and by foundations. Detailed ongoing statistics and documents spanning multiple decades reveal the details of this interplay of financial sources, which has only been previously researched in part.
