Walter Kempowski (1929‑2007) was one of Germany’s most important contemporary authors. For the first time, this book takes stock of all aspects of his work. It includes contributions of eminent literary scholars which were presented at an international Walter-Kempowski symposium in Rostock, organized by the University of Rostock and the Kempowski Archives Rostock.
