The book explores the history of converted Jews in the Kingdom of Naples and the fraught processes of their inclusion and exclusion over a period of 200 years. The study integrates a macro view on the Kingdom with a micrological investigation of the lives of New Christians in one city. From multiple perspectives, it analyzes the political status, networks, careers, and life styles of the converted Jews.
